ABOVE AND BELOW |
Underwater Portraiture |
|
There are a many things that appeal to me about underwater portraiture. I have two main approaches: one is to use the underwater to reveal something hidden, and to understand the interaction of from above and below the water. The second approach is to create an underwater portrait, using the environment to see the model in a differently. Under the water, hair and clothing floats, and skin looks washed out and pale. All of these contribute to creating something that can be unusual or even etherial. |
